In 2015, the structure of the Mail Relay is completely reworked: the idea is in fact to carry out the logical separation between the incoming and outgoing Mail Relay.

This architecture allows the introduction of innovative features on the outgoing module, such as email counting and sorting on multiple IP addresses of outgoing emails.

It was from this separation that the idea of the name was born: JANUS, also known as Giano Bifronte, is the name of the God that the ancient Romans represented on the doors and passages, so that, thanks to the double head, he could watch over both the entrance and the Exit.

A short time later JANUSMAIL has been chosen as definitive name.

Also in 2015, the first specific integrations were implemented with Zimbra mail systems, with which BLS has a long-standing relationship.
